Former UA great Victor Ellis passed away earlier this evening after a long battle with a rare form of cancer. Ellis was a 4 year letterman for the Tide and graduated in 2002 with a B. A. in Communications. He was a two year starter and also a member of the SEC All-Academic Team during his time at UA.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Victor’s family and friends. He was a class act both on and off the field and great person to represent The University of Alabama. This is truly a sad day for UA. Please keep the Ellis family in your prayers.

Will do.
That’s tough. He was a great player and person, and I understand he became very close with the Lord and received peace about the situation.
We all need to remember and make certain those we come into contact with daily know that there is nothing more important in this life than preparing for the afterlife and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ.
I didn’t know Victor of course, but from everything I read, Victor had done this, so his testimony and his life legacy will be something that we should all hope for our own.
Saw this at another blog. I remember him and it’s truly sad news.
