Clemson’s Bold New Recruiting Strategy Paying Off

Kenneth Page, a very highly touted offensive lineman, was one of many prospects to choose Clemson over Tennessee this past recruiting season. Many Vols fans wondered how we could be beat out on so many recruits by Clemson. Well I guess we got our answer.

HT: Brahsome.com

This photo of Page holding what looks to be thousands of dollars riding in the back of a car was posted on Kenneth’s Myspace page. However, as soon as Clemson learned of the picture it was immediately removed.

Clemson, a team that is the epitome of mediocrity, has suddenly had unreal success in recruiting. Most people believed this was because of Dabo Swinney, the man that recruited Page and most of their other highly touted recruits, who is considered to be one of the best recruiters in College football. Obviously their recruiting success can be attributed to more than just Dabo.

I guess there is always the possibility that he could of just had thousands of dollars saved up for a rainy day, or maybe he was just holding it for someone (Dabo). Either way it looks like Clemson has some explaining to do. This should be fun.

Because of this, I may just pull for Alabama next year …….

    Nah.

What model car is that? Might want to check what mom and pops are driving these days.

I see some water behind him. Wonder if that pic was taken on his trip home from his official visit?

That’s current currency and it all looks to be legit from front to back in the wad. Apparently the Houndstooth boosters didn’t offer him enough to play for the Shreveport, I mean, Alabama Crimson Tide.

I’m sure Bowden’s got the wire tap on Fulmer’s phones already. He should know better than to outbid him.

Looks like he’s in an older pick-up truck. Rumor says he has a family member who owns a few ATMs, and they were going to replace the cash. Who knows what’s happening though.

  7. 7 capstoneking March 27, 2008 at 4:24 pm

I’m not sure you can just own an ATM unless you technically own a bank, so unless you were just making a joke (which is still funny if it is a joke) there is no way that holds water. And even if you own a bank, I still don’t think you technically own an ATM.

I could be way off here and if so let me know because this is an interesting situation.

His family owns ATM machines? How convenient. Why would anyone bother recruiting him then? He’s already got access to plenty of cash. What’s the incentive to play college football? Oh right. An education!!

You can own an atm without owning a bank. We bought a couple when we were in the convenience store business. You just gotta hook up with a transaction service. For a fee. Which you pass on. :)

Wow thats a lot of cash man

  11. 11 Rich March 27, 2008 at 6:28 pm

  12. 12 Fred sez March 27, 2008 at 7:45 pm

It looks like play money! It is play money! Money to play for Clemson!

  13. 13 happygilmore March 27, 2008 at 9:36 pm

If any of those bills are larger than a 20 dollar bill, they dont go in an atm.

  14. 14 mattjcarter March 28, 2008 at 10:27 am

    Who cares its Clemson.

Following the decline of the US dollar I think it ammounts to $100.00

  16. 16 Tennessee Sucks March 28, 2008 at 10:52 am

Wow, not bitter are we? Accusations from Tenne$$ee and Alabama about cheating. That’s funny. I guess we should expect a private meeting between Fat Phil and the NCAA. Damn Clemson’s screwed! You all are examples why inbreeding is dangerous.

He posted the picture on his own Myspace page? What an idiot!!! As an alumni, I for one am glad he will not be attending the University of Tennessee. He is clearly not worthy of receiving the esteemed education he would have been entitled to should he had enrolled. Make it RAIN with those bills Kenny!!!

    right

  20. 20 To the guy who posted Tennessee sucks March 28, 2008 at 4:36 pm

You are an ignorant piece of monkey trash. The fact that you still use the word inbreeding tells everyone just how stupid you are. Why don’t you come up with something original instead of using the same, old tired addage about the south being inbred when their sports community is FAR superior to that of anything you watch. (i.e. Big 2, little 9…the Wac 10…etc…) Go find a clue somewhere and stop messing up a perfectly good message board with your assanine commments.

  21. 21 tidefanintn March 28, 2008 at 6:40 pm

Whoa. Let’s not get too worked up. Tennessee sucks has a point. Inbreeding IS dangerous, and he’s the exception that proves the rule.

looks like FatMan has been out bid again. LOL
