It looked like they were doing absolutely everything they could to not kick him off as it is. There is the unsubstantiated rumor (read: Les Miles didn't say this) that it was a failed drug test. That is, if it isn't shot to hell already; something tells me RP's lifestyle hasn't exactly been conducive to quality study time. To think that his talent was enough that he was above the rules. The worst thing to happen to him was that he wasn't actually kicked off the team earlier where he would have to transfer to a school where he'd work for what he had. Some place like Southern or Alabama State, where he might still be drafted, but he'd be washing his own uniform while he waited for that day. It’s kind of infuriating, really.
